Idaho

Monday we were in the Preston, Idaho area and stopped by to see a few things. We stopped first to see the Oneida Stake Academy--same vintage as Brigham Young Academy (which is now, as an entity, BYU, but the original building is now the Provo Library). It is undergoing renovations. We also stopped at the Whitney Cemetery to see the grave of Ezra Taft Benson.  Of all the church presidents, only Ezra Taft Benson and Joseph Smith are not buried in Salt Lake City.  Brigham Young is buried in Salt Lake City, in a tiny park between apartment buildings. All the rest of the church presidents are in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.       When we left the cemetery, the farm right there had the backside of the barn painted like this:     (Reminded me of the Kool-Aid guy) We also went to the Preston Cemetery to find some of the Mr.'s ancestors. This campground was a "hard-sided camper" campground only, because of lots of bear presence.   We had to run to the grocery store in St. Mary that night, since it's end of the season, the shelves were SO bare! Tuesday we headed into Alberta We went to Waterton Lakes National Park   We stopped by the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes, a beautiful building, but closed for the season so we couldn't go inside The scenery at Waterton Lakes--just north of Glacier National Park and the Canadian "sister park" to Glacier National Park We went to the Cardston Temple And stopped by the grocery store for ketchup chips!   And we finally got this screen shot coming back into the U.S.!  Wednesday we drove to Butte, Montana It's where Evel Knievel is burie
