D.C. Area National Parks

 Sunday we spent the morning in Prince William Forest Park. It was a lovely day, weather-wise, to spend in the forest, literally!

Virginia and DC

Monday we went to Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historic Park. This was one of the battlefields during the Civil War, a turning point for the Union. We got to tour the house which showed signs of the battle

Western Pennsylvania to West Virginia

Monday we went into Pittsburg, looking for Mr. Rogers. There is a memorial to him, down by Heinz Stadium, on the riverfront.

Cutting Corners

We look like we've covered a lot of ground, which we have, but also we've been cutting through the corners or tips of states and have made it from Missouri through Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and are in Pennsylvania! Sunday and Monday we were at Ozark National Scenic Riverways
